Mt Cook Heli Hike:
Mt Cook Heli Hike takes you on an exploration of the Tasman Glacier, the largest of several glaciers which flow south and east towards the Mackenzie Basin from the Southern Alps. At 27km in length, Tasman Glacier is New Zealand's longest glacier. It is as much as 4 kilometers wide and 600 meters thick. The glacier covers an area of 101 square kilometres and starts at a height of 3,000 metres above sea level. Your professional guide will lead you into the most spectacular terrain that is usually seen only by experienced mountaineers. You will spend approx 2 hours hiking on easy & undulating terrain. Moderate fitness required, minimum age 8 years. Departs/returns Mt Cook Airport. Operates Oct – April. 
Glacier Explorer Boat Cruise:
This popular experience gives a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with New Zealand’s largest glacier, the Tasman Glacier. After a short hike to the edge of the terminal lake, the experienced guides will take you by boat to the face of the glacier. The ride provides some spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, and some of the most stunning photographic opportunities available in the national park. Three hour tours depart from Mount Cook National Park by minibus on a 15 minute drive, followed by a half hour walk to the shore of Lake Tasman.
Big Sky Stargazing:
Aoraki Mount Cook is far from the city lights and therefore has some of the darkest skies in New Zealand - perfect for viewing the southern night sky! Half or full tour options are available, both tours include a ‘live’ digital planetarium presentation of the universe, our Milky Way Galaxy, the solar system and ‘real time’ night sky views inside the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre’s Theatre. The full tour also includes transport to our outdoor stargazing site for spectacular views of the southern sky. Using the naked eye, high-powered binoculars and state of the art telescopes, continue your tour of the Milky Way and beyond. Unleash your imagination as you explore the universe incl. the Southern Cross, star clusters, planets, moons and distant galaxies. Duration: Half tour: 45 mins. Full tour: 2 hours.
Hooker Valley Half or Full Day Hike:
Mount Cook Guided Day Walks is a guided tour of the Hooker Valley, providing breathtaking views of some of New Zealand's highest and most enthralling peaks. Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides will tell you all about the unique flora and fauna of the region and the local history as you trek through this amazing landscape. The half day option enjoys a stunning 2.7mile return trek along the well-maintained track. The journey takes in the poignant Alpine Memorial and passes over the turbulent Hooker River twice by swingbridge to unsurpassed vistas of Aoraki Mount Cook's south face and the surrounding glaciers and mountains. The full day guided walk option continues to the terminal lake of the Hooker Glacier, a 5 mile return trek.
