Further along the Abel Tasman choose to paddle our complimentary sea kayaks in a tranquil lagoon, snorkel, take a bush walk, or just sit back and enjoy the sights and tranquil surroundings of New Zealand's most enchanting national park, all in one day! Our comfortable power catamaran carries kayaks, snorkeling/fishing gear and towels, gourmet lunch, snacks and refreshments are all included. Local beer and wine are available for purchase. Te Tau Ihu
The Nelson area is known by the Māori as Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka a Maui (prow of the waka/canoe of Maui). From his waka, the demi-god Maui used his magic fish hook to catch and land the North Island (Te Ika a Maui - the fish of Maui).
Split Apple Paddle - Half Day Guided Kayaking:
Meet at our Kaiteriteri Ticket Office by 9.00am. On the golden sand, your guide will introduce you to safe paddling techniques and settle you into a stable double kayak then, it’s onto the water to explore and have fun! An ideal adventure for families and first time paddlers. This relaxing paddle explores tidal inlets, hidden coves & bush clad islands along the granite coast, including the famous ‘Split Apple Rock’. Stop on a golden sand beach for a short break before heading back to Kaiteriteri.
The Great Taste Trail with back road adventures - One Day Guided Bike Ride:
Enjoy sections of The Great Taste Trail and then go off trail to quiet country back roads. Visit places most people don’t know exist. Experience the tranquility of the countryside, hop gardens, vineyards, orchards, majestic rivers, with a stunning backdrop of Kahurangi National Park. We may pass wineries as well as artisans studios and galleries. All this and yet never too far away from a coffee stop! Includes café or picnic lunch. Distance: 15+ miles. Fitness level: A moderate level of fitness required. Trail Grade: Moderate. Ride can also be fully supported with vehicle if required.

Two Gods – Kayak and Self-Guided Walk:
Your day starts with a water taxi ride from Marahau into the park whisking past the golden sand beaches and sandy coves. After a briefing you will kayak approx 2hrs with interspersed breaks, the length of the Tonga Island Marine Reserve. Spend the afternoon walking unguided (approx 2hrs) from Onetahuti to Bark Bay and enjoy a packed picnic lunch on the beach. You will meet your water taxi at a specified time and beach location and return to Marahau. 
Moutere Wine & Artisans - One Day Guided Bike Ride:
Visit the most scenic winery in Nelson, as well as several other boutique wineries offering award-winning wines. Discover New Zealand’s oldest pub, artisan’s studios, historical places of interest and stunning scenery all within a 10-30Km route. This adds up to a unique cycling experience. Includes platter lunch at a vineyard. Distance: 6 – 18+ miles. Fitness level: Moderate. Trail Grade: Easy to moderate (the route uses quiet country roads and a local cycle/walk path). Ride can also be fully supported with vehicle if required.
Kayak, Seals & Walk - All in One: 
Coach or drive to the Kaiteriteri Office by 9:00am to meet your guide. Beginning with a guided ½ day kayak trip, explore tidal inlets, hidden coves & bush clad islands along the granite coast, including famous ‘Split Apple Rock’. Stop on a golden beach for a short break. Return to Kaiteriteri by 12:00pm to swap kayak for walking shoes. Join the 1:00pm Vista Cruise at Kaiteriteri to cruise the protected waters of the Astrolabe Roadstead into Torrent Bay and continue on to Tonga Island Marine Reserve. Pause to view the antics at the Seal Colony on the island, then disembark on the mainland at historic Tonga Quarry beach.
Seals & Beach - Vista Cruise & Walk:
Take a scenic cruise 9:30am (or 1:00pm) from Kaiteriteri into the Park to walk the well-formed coastal track as it weaves through lush native forest from one golden beach to the next. Cruise through Tonga Island Marine Reserve, pausing to view the antics at its resident Seal Colony, then land at picturesque Tonga Quarry beach. Your boat hosts will direct you to the start of your unguided walk: 2 hours (4.1 kms, 2.5 miles) over the forested Tonga Saddle and around stunning Bark Bay waterfall track with its new swing bridge. Continue on to Medlands Beach for your pick up at 3.00pm or 4.55 pm. Returning Kaiteriteri 3.55 or 5:50pm.

Experience the original creative spirit of the region in one happening place. Prowl the lanes between the hundreds of stalls for Nelson's best; savour gourmet chutneys, local olive oils and hot smoked salmon. Art and designer wares abound from large wooden platters to scented candles, pottery and handcrafted silver. The Nelson market operates on Saturday and Sunday mornings (8am-1pm)
